However, when a deal for a vehicle battery goes awry, Joel and his partner Tess encounter Marlene, the leader of the Fireflies, who tasks them with escorting a young girl named Ellie to the old Capitol building.

Ellie, who was kidnapped and checked regularly by the Fireflies, seems to be immune to the fungal infection, making her potentially crucial for a cure. Joel reluctantly accepts the mission, driven by his desire to find Tommy.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the story 20 years later progressed in a slow and heavy flow unique to HBO and devoted much of it to explaining the situation linked to future events, so it has not yet delivered so much information.

However, looking at some of the information that was released first, I'm so curious about the second episode right away. The Chernobyl crew made it, so I think it's unlikely that it'll go wrong in the middle of going well...
